POINT is undertaking a comprehensive review of the North Toronto Community.
Why?
  • It is five years since we last "took the pulse" of North Toronto.
  • We need to identify the changes in our community since then.
  • Also essential is establishing what the community considers to be the major changes of the last five years.
  • We also know we need to improve the equity and accessibility of our programs to those of our residents who face the most serious disadvantages to ensure they can participate more fully in all aspects of our community's life.
Key aspects of our review will be:
  • A survey questionnaire to all readers of our Newsletter;
  • A random mail survey to about 100 - 200 residents, businesses and agencies in our area;
  • An online questionnaire available through our website;
  • Focus groups, including ones with parents of students, service/community agency leaders, seniors, faith communities, businesses and community leaders.
Next steps:
  • The results of our surveys and focus groups will be used to make adjustments to our programs and services to ensure our work relates as closely as possible to the needs of our residents.
  • They will be also be used to set new targets for our broad strategic goals as an agency for the next five years.

  • Complete the questionnaire
  • As our regular donors, volunteers and service beneficiaries, you are key participants in this initiative. Your views on how to serve our community better are important.
