Need Help With Your Energy Bill?

The struggle to meet all of your financial commitments can sometimes mean that you find yourself a little short when the time comes to pay your natural gas bill and or hydro bill. If you've recently had difficulty paying, or are concerned about making your next payment, LEAP (Low-Income Energy Assistance Program) may be able to help.

Who qualifies for Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)?

LEAP (Low-Income Energy Assistance Program) is designed for low-income families and individuals living at/or below the poverty line who have exhausted all other sources of financial support. Approved households receive a one time grant.
Upon successful completion of the application process, the funds will be credited to your heating bill. It can go a long way to getting your energy bill back under control.
Availability of funding from LEAP is limited to individuals from low-income households that satisfy at least one or more of the following conditions:
  • Have energy bills that are currently in arrears;
  • Have recently received a disconnection notice;
  • Are experiencing personal circumstances that make it difficult to pay current energy bill.
