Service description: The Law Society licenses and regulates lawyers and paralegals in Ontario

• The Lawyer Referral Service provides callers with up to 30 minutes of free consultation either by phone or in person
• service is not meant to provide legal advice or second opinions
• fees should be discussed with the lawyer prior to any further work being done
• callers who are incarcerated, in a shelter, under the age of majority, in domestic abuse crises, or calling with regards to Child Protection issues, should call the Crisis line
