Looking for some exciting new volunteer opportunities?

Volunteer Toronto’s Youth Expo is an excellent opportunity for youth to learn all about the many different volunteer positions available in Toronto!

What is it?

The Youth Expo is a one day event for high school students to meet over 80 non-profits recruiting youth volunteers. You’ll get to find out what roles they have, ask questions about what they do, and sign up for different volunteer roles that interest you.

If you’ve been wondering where to do your 40 hours, then the Youth Expo is the perfect opportunity to explore endless volunteering possibilities!

Who can attend?

Any high school students or those interested in volunteer opportunities for youth.
As Volunteer Toronto covers the city of Toronto, the majority of the volunteer opportunities available will be based in Toronto, anywhere from Etobicoke to Scarborough and as far north as North York. If you live outside of Toronto, you can still attend but probably won’t find roles in your local area.

How much does it cost to attend?

The Youth Expo is free!

Which organizations will be there?

We’ll be announcing the organizations who will be attending in September, but until then, check out our 2015 Youth Expo Guide to see which 80 non-profits attended the 2015 Youth Expo!

Date: Sunday, October 23, 2016

Youth Arts Pitch Contest

The 9th annual Youth Arts Pitch Contest is presented by ArtReach and City of Toronto Arts & Culture, and is a signature project of the Cultural Hotspot. We are pleased to announce that this year’s contest will be hosted by Freedom Fridays!

Applications are now open at artreach.org/pitch so please check it out and spread the word to youth in your community who have an arts based idea or venture to get off the ground!

From all the applications, eight lucky finalists are chosen to make their pitch. Finalists attend a two-part workshop series on How To Make a Pitch. Finalists will then pitch their ideas live, making a creative, energetic, inspiring and convincing pitch in 5 minutes or less to a panel of knowledgeable, high-profile judges, who will provide on the spot feedback to all finalists and award two winners with the grand prizes of the pitch contest. Application Deadline is September 2nd!
