Our camp is designed to enable campers to learn about themselves and technology in the world both on screen and by getting their hands dirty. Hatch strives to provide a positive and inspiring social experience for campers from 7 to 17.

Programs & Services:

At Hatch Canada, kids learn to program and make awesome things every day!  We believe kids learn best when given a choice – which is what we’re all about! Kids will build skills in making AND programming by choosing their own projects to build every day under the guidance of our trained (and very fun) coaches.  After experimenting with new code and maker projects in the first three days, kids then get to create a Showcase project – a 100% self-directed project which ties together all their new skills!

Half-Day Coding: Build Projects. Build a Portfolio. Complete a Showcase Project. In one week Hatch Canada will improve your computer programming ability, whether you have never coded or if you are already familiar with coding.

Half-Day Making: Get physical! See what it’s like to be a true ‘Maker’ by spending half the day making robots, using arduino’s and creating amazing low-tech maker crafts!  Students get to choose their own maker-project to build every day.

The Full Hatch Experience: Campers will experience both coding and making programs. Hatch campers who take part in the ‘Full Hatch Experience’ will also gain the unique opportunity to visit REAL tech centers in Toronto, like game studio’s, web development offices, and more! Not only will students get to hear from real tech professional, but they’ll even get to present their projects to them as well!
